WorkTamer Conference 2010: Overview
The WorkTamer conference is a series of one day events that provide professional development training for Information Technology workers. It is a "no fluff" conference that moves from city to city, allowing attendees from many cities throughout Canada to participate without travel costs. No general sessions, no distractions, simply the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry.
Mission
The WorkTamer conference seeks to expand the soft skills of Information Technology workers to improve their value to their employers. These soft skills include project management, team leadership, design planning, disaster planning and telecommuting techniques, to name a few.
Locations and Dates
Three cities are scheduled for 2010: Vancouver (British Columbia), Toronto (Ontario) and Montreal (Quebec). Each one day conference is capped at 210 attendees in order to provide a strong speaker - attendee ratio. Extended question periods are a part of each presentation.

Additional Details
18 sessions spread among 6 time slots in a single day allows attendees a broad selection without having to make tough choices about which sessions to attend. The conference does not have any keynote session or vendor booths to detract from the primary purpose: expanding the soft skills of attendees. A continental breakfast and a hot buffet lunch are included with the conference fee. The venues are centrally located and easy to find.
